TRAVELER 

From 2014-2019 I traveled the world on cruise ships, teaching watercolor painting to hundreds of passengers. My ceramic vessels emerged during the pandemic, when, like most people, I longed to travel and wondered if those days of freedom had passed. In each vessel, I've tried to encapsulate, in shape, color and gesture, the singular feeling of a country, city or region I’ve loved. My watercolor paintings are maps of itineraries, a record of thousands of miles traveled by sea.
